In this section, you can find information on public transport and road transport services in Brescia and Desenzano del Garda. A simple overview of the service and the solutions available for getting around every day.
Area served
The urban public transport system serves the municipality of Brescia and 14 neighboring municipalities: Borgosatollo, Botticino, Bovezzo, Caino, Castel Mella, Cellatica, Collebeato, Concesio, Flero, Gussago, Nave, Poncarale, Rezzato, and Roncadelle.
The lines
The service consists of 16 lines, plus a specific line during the summer period.
Seasonal services
The winter service runs from the first week of September to the first week of June, in line with the school calendar. During the Christmas holidays, until January 6, the Christmas timetable is in effect. The summer service covers the period from the end of school until the first week of September.
Timetables and days of service
Public transport operates 365 days a year. There are partial suspensions on December 25, May 1, and Easter Sunday, when the service ends at 1:00 p.m.
- Daily service varies depending on the line and type of day, ensuring extensive coverage throughout the day:
- Weekdays: approximately 19 hours, starting around 5:00 a.m. and ending at approximately 12:45 a.m.
Holidays: approximately 18 hours, starting around 6:00 a.m. and ending at approximately 12:45 a.m.
Service management
The public transport service is managed by Brescia Trasporti S.p.A., part of the Brescia Mobilità Group and successor to the ASM Transport Division. The activity is regulated on the basis of the Service Contract signed in 2004 between the Municipality of Brescia and the Temporary Association of Companies (ATI) led by: Brescia Trasporti S.p.A. (parent company) with SIA - Società Italiana Autoservizi S.p.A. and AGI - Auto Guidovie Italiane S.p.A..
Since April 2, 2012, Brescia Trasporti S.p.A. has been managing the urban public transport service in the municipality of Desenzano del Garda.
The lines
The service consists of four lines (line 1 Green, line 2 Blue, line 3 Red, and a line dedicated to public holidays).
Timetables and days of service
- Weekdays: service starts at 6:15 a.m. and ends at approximately 8:45 p.m.
- Public holidays: the service runs from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The service is suspended on Easter, Christmas, May 1, January 1, and August 15.
