Violation of the traffic prohibition in pedestrian areas and Limited Traffic Zones (ZTL) is subject to an administrative fine ranging from €83.00 to €333.00 (minimum and maximum statutory limits) pursuant to Article 7, paragraph 14 of the Italian Highway Code – Legislative Decree no. 285 of 30/04/1992.
According to Article 202 of the Highway Code, payment within 5 days from the issuance or notification of the fine allows a 30% reduction of the minimum amount, for a total of €58.10 (plus administrative and notification costs). From the 6th to the 60th day, the minimum amount of €83.00 must be paid (plus administrative and notification costs).
After the 60th day, the amount due is €166.50 (plus administrative and notification costs).
